Our Story

Born in Sydney, Built for Gamers

PixelRaid was founded in 2019 by a group of Sydney-based gamers who were frustrated by the lack of Australian-focused gaming coverage. Too many reviews were written from a Northern Hemisphere perspective, ignoring the unique gaming culture, server infrastructure, and community events that define gaming in Australia and New Zealand.

We set out to change that. Today, PixelRaid is one of Australia's most-read gaming publications, with a dedicated team of reviewers, tournament organisers, and community managers working from our Sydney headquarters.

Our editorial policy is simple: we never accept payment for positive reviews, we always disclose when review copies are provided, and we always put the reader first.

More Than Just Reviews

PixelRaid is more than a review site — we are an active part of the Australian gaming community. We organise and sponsor tournaments in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth throughout the year.

Our Community Cup series has grown from a small 32-person LAN in a Sydney warehouse to a multi-city event series attracting over 1,000 participants annually. We believe competitive gaming should be accessible, welcoming, and fun for everyone.
